So, life is such a fascinating existence that has decided to move forward no matter how much I try to stop it. lol. It’s all good though. I’m super excited for what the second half of this year is going to produce. My family and friends of creatives are really plotting, and we’re all putting our heads together in order to make our dreams realities. It brings me such motivation to be able to do what I love for a living. I recently left one of my jobs so I can do just that. This season is showing me that God/the Universe is not going to hand deliver the things I want on a silver plater. I have to 1. ask, and 2. do the work in preparation for the things I want. This year has been all about SPACE for me. Not just in my professional life, but also in my personal life. So, now? I am on a mission to make this life I’m living exactly how I want it to be. And I am as prepared as I’ll ever be for this next season! So… Here we go!!!

Man… This part of my journey has been a LONG time coming. I’m in a place where I don’t want to continue to do things as I’ve always done them. So, I’m having to unlearn and relearn a lot of things. I am learning to be more confident, aware and present with myself, in my life and especially within my photography. This isn’t just art for me. This is a form of documentation, a voice, a piece of who I am. It allows me to free things in my mind I’ve not been able to do before. And honestly? It’s pretty incredible… The space I am in is so…pointed. There is a clear direction I am heading. I’m not sure how all this will play. And high key, I still have no idea what I’m doing. lol. But! As a good friend of mine unwarrantedly reminds, “the journey is the destination”. Everything is as it should be at all times. Here’s to the new year and the coming ones!!
